Job summary

Sauer Construction, LLC seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead daily field operations on federal construction projects, coordinating subcontractors, quality control, safety, and schedule to meet contract requirements. The successful candidate will communicate with government representatives and project stakeholders while representing Sauer professionally.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years of QC Manager experience on federal projects, and extensive DoD project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of Quality Control Manager experience on federal construction projects.
• Substantial superintendent experience on Department of Defense projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Lean construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee site mobilization, temporary facilities, manpower, labor relations, and construction logistics.
• Support project estimating, schedule development, and preparation of subcontractor scopes of work.
• Coordinate subcontractors and the site team to maintain safe, efficient, and schedule-driven operations.
• Develop daily work plans and detailed schedules, resolving conflicts among the client, Sauer, and subcontractors.
• Supervise field activities and review manpower requests for craft labor.
• Participate in construction planning and recommend practical solutions to field issues.
• Communicate professionally with government representatives, clients, subcontractors, and project team members.
