Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Maintenance Mechanic to support federal facilities in Shawnee, KS. The role involves maintenance of automated systems and packaging equipment on a full-time basis.

Pay is $31.34 per hour with comprehensive benefits including federal holidays and health/dental/life insurance. Work hours are Mon-Fri, 11:30 am–8:00 pm, with background and drug checks required for access to a military

Qualifications

Valid Real ID is required by federal regulations.
2+ years of experience on automatic/conveyor systems or similar production-focused machinery.
Ability to pass a drug test and background check for access to a military installation.
Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, optics, physics, and computer science.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for automated packaging and conveyor systems and related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, installation, evaluation, and repair of PLCs and control systems.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and restore devices to full operation.
Evaluate replacement needs based on repair history, age, and parts availability.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and inspections per the PM program.
Assist in writing maintenance procedures, PPE requirements, and LOTO standards.
Advise supervisor on equipment modifications and problem-solving approaches.
Assist in installing and operating control systems and handling basic computer maintenance.
