Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, seeks a reliable Machinery Maintenance Mechanic to work full time in Shawnee, KS at the VA Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy. The role involves maintenance of automated packaging and conveyor systems and PLC programming, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 11:30am–8pm.

The position offers competitive hourly pay of $31.34/hr, plus benefits including federal holidays, sick leave, and medical/dental/life insurance.

Qualifications

• Real ID is required by federal regulations.
• 2+ years of experience on automatic/conveyor or production driven systems.
• Extensive knowledge of analog and digital electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, electromechanical devices, hydraulics, thermodynamics, optics, physics and computer science.
• Skilled at improvising troubleshooting and interpreting electrical, electronic and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Must pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for automated equipment systems including packaging and tote conveyors, and drug dosing machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installation, evaluation, repair, calibration and PLC reprogramming.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and restore devices to full operation.
• Evaluate repair options considering cost, age and parts availability; recommend replacement when needed.
• Determine required test/calibration equipment, modify interconnections to increase reliability.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and inspections per PM program.
• Assist in writing maintenance procedures, PPE requirements and LOTO for system maintenance.
• Advise supervisor on equipment selections, installations, or modifications and solutions to maintenance problems.
• Assist in installing and operating control systems; perform basic computer and printer maintenance and day-to-day operations.
