Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a Federal Cx Senior Field Agent to lead commissioning efforts for complex facilities with primary focus on electrical systems.

The role requires hands-on field work, project coordination, and mentorship of the commissioning team to ensure systems perform as designed and meet owner expectations. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in commissioning, a engineering degree, and a CxA certification, with willingness to travel and obtain a work visa for Germany.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of commissioning project experience; healthcare facility experience advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with five+ years of experience.
• CxA Certification held or obtainable within first three months of employment.
• Work visa and residency permit to be applied for with company support.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities to verify electrical systems operate as designed throughout design, construction, and turnover.
• Review equipment submittals and shop drawings for design intent compliance.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct inspections, pre-functional checks, functional testing, seasonal testing, and warranty reviews.
• Maintain commissioning logs, deficiency lists, and project records.
• Serve as liaison between contractors, owners, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project status, risks, and resolutions.
• Manage commissioning schedules and staffing during construction phases.
• Travel and support long-term assignments in Germany as required.
• Train, mentor, and develop Cx Field Agents.
