Job summary

LMI is seeking an accomplished Digital Engineering SME specializing in system architecture strategy, requirements elicitation, and federal DE policy execution to support Army clients. This role focuses on building interoperable digital environments and accelerating mission‑critical modernization.

The position requires a Secret clearance and onsite work within 40 miles of Aberdeen MD or Crystal City VA; remote options are available for others.

Qualifications

7+ years of engineering experience with a BS degree.
Secret clearance required.
Comfortable with all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.
Self-directed, detail oriented and able to coordinate with a dynamic team.
Able to communicate effectively with end users, technologists, team members, and executives.
Background in various requirements elicitation methods.
Experience with DoD DE policies, MBSE, MOSA, and MBSE tools.

Responsibilities

Research DE ecosystem technologies and methodologies to implement federal DE guidance.
Identify opportunities to pair DE technologies for data interoperability across the lifecycle.
Design and deliver DE ecosystem use case concepts to improve productivity.
Develop strategic roadmaps for innovative DE technologies with customers.
Collaborate with domain experts and systems engineers to execute tactical plans.
Develop architecture models using MBSE methodologies and tools.
Create modular sensor data integration models using SysML and UAF.
Assess engineering artifacts and model system architecture with MBSE tools.
Apply MOSA principles to ensure interoperability and maintainability.
Trace requirements to architecture models and integrate MBSE with DOORS.
Provide input to UX/UI designers on model outcomes delivery.
