Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a skilled engineer to serve as the technical liaison between federal design and construction teams and contractors. You will review submittals, reports, and specs for compliance, apply engineering principles across planning and construction activities, and provide technical support on projects with government clients.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years of relevant experience, with domestic travel required and overseas travel

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical liaison between federal government client design branch, construction branch, and contractors.
• Review design submittals, shop drawings, specifications, RFIs, and technical reports for compliance with Federal and client standards.
• Apply engineering principles across planning, investigation, design review, construction administration, and assessment of procedures, structures, systems, and tools.
• Develop and maintain client relationships through responsive communication and strong technical support.
