Job summary

Neros is seeking a Federal Communications Manager to lead relationships with defense think tanks and journalists, shaping messaging for government audiences in close partnership with the Marketing team.

You will translate complex technical issues into clear narratives, leveraging existing relationships with national think tanks and reporters. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills to advocate for Neros in the US defense ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in federal communications within Congress, executive branch, or defense related journalism.
• Understanding of the U.S. defense ecosystem, including DoD procurement, congressional appropriations, and national security policy.
• Strong existing relationships with think-tanks and national level journalists.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical issues into compelling narratives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to build relationships with defense related think tanks and journalists who influence Congress, the Pentagon, and the Executive Branch.
• Collaborate with Marketing to build the Neros brand through messaging campaigns, social events, and white papers tailored for government audiences.
