Job summary

Neros Inc. is seeking a seasoned media relations professional to lead external communications for our defense technology initiatives.

You will drive coverage across national, business, tech, and defense outlets, manage embargoes, and shape narratives that align with our warfighter-focused mission. You will own the media relations platform, build dashboards, and deliver analyses on coverage and share of voice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in public relations or media relations, preferably in defense, aerospace, robotics, tech, or hardware industries.
• Demonstrated experience pitching and coordinating embargoes and exclusives.
• Demonstrated experience shaping narrative and matching stories to publications and media personnel.
• Experience owning a media relations platform, including dashboards and analysis across coverage and share of voice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships across national, business, tech, defense trade, and creator media.
• Proactively pitch and field inbound press inquiries as first contact for media requests.
• Analyze coverage and share of voice trends for leadership visibility.
• Maintain editorial and announcement calendar.
• Run embargoed rollouts and negotiate media exclusives.
• Draft and distribute press releases.
• Produce media one-pagers, fact sheets, press kits, bios, and boilerplate as needed.
• Partner with content production team on media assets as part of integrated campaigns.
