Job summary

MetaPhase seeks a Database Administrator to support DHS FSM, securing Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases in AWS. You will drive data migration, warehousing, and integration while enforcing security controls and enterprise standards.

You will collaborate with security teams, implement backup/recovery, and monitor performance across environments, delivering compliant, reliable data services.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 3+ years leading data modeling, warehousing, and migration.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS RDMS.
• 3+ years with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• 2+ years SQL development using WebADIs and APIs.
• ETL/enterprise data integration experience.
• Linux familiarity; Bash scripting; SFTP/file transfer protocols.
• Familiar with Apache Airflow or AWS Glue.
• Security/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, secure, and maintain database solutions for FSM.
• Oversee architecture for data warehousing, ETL, and migrations.
• Manage AWS-based RDS, Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments.
• Ensure security and compliance per FISMA/NIST guidance.
• Support data integration using Informatica tools; optimize queries and APIs.
• Implement backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Collaborate with security teams and maintain compliance docs.
• Monitor performance and address data access and integrity risks.
