Job summary

Halvik Corp in Washington, DC, seeks a Database Administrator to ensure the performance, integrity and security of a Federal customer's database systems. You will plan, develop and maintain databases, troubleshoot issues, and support data warehousing and reporting needs for government programs.

The role requires 5+ years of DBA experience, strong Oracle and SQL Server skills, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related database administration experience.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS.
• Ability to manage database users and privileges and profiles.
• Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model logical and physical data for DBMS.
• Improve DB performance via indexing and denormalization.
• Develop data warehouses and marts for specialized data needs.
• Enforce data naming standards and manage database logs.
• Perform backup, archive and restoration services.
