Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and maintain security systems protecting networks, applications, and data from evolving cyber threats. You will perform security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses and drive remediation.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, ISSOs, assessors, and stakeholders to strengthen security posture, develop incident response plans, and document policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to write clear security and compliance documentation.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to read and discuss architecture documentation and diagrams.
• Basic understanding of cloud, networking, IAM, security, and logging concepts.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and vulnerability management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security systems and data protection measures.
• Conduct regular security audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor systems for anomalies, investigate security incidents, and apply necessary patches or configuration changes.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure business continuity.
• Create, update, and enforce security policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Write clear and accessible documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate discussions across engineering teams, ISSOs, assessors, and stakeholders.
• Review architecture documentation and diagrams for security alignment.
• Apply knowledge of cloud, networking, IAM, logging, and security controls.
• Leverage CI/CD and vulnerability management workflows.
