Job summary

Constellis is seeking a Court Security Officer (CSO) to provide protective services at federal courthouses under a USMS contract. This union position involves fixed-post, mobile, or foot patrols with supervision from Lead CSO and District Supervisor.

Duties include enforcing entry controls, monitoring alarms, and escorting individuals when required. Candidates must meet strict federal law enforcement requirements, maintain licenses, and be able to work in austere conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable civilian law enforcement experience OR an equivalent Law Enforcement position with the United States Armed Forces (military). The experience must include general arrest authority.
• Must have completed or graduated from a certified law enforcement training academy or program.
• Must pass pre-placement screening including background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the District's entry and identification system.
• Test and report emergency equipment.
• Patrol court facilities and grounds.
• Provide security in courtrooms and surrounding areas as per post orders.
• Monitor alarms, access control, and RFID systems; report violations.
• Log and report incidents and maintain necessary licensing and records.
• Coordinate with law enforcement; testify as necessary in proceedings.
