Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in building intelligence, seeks a seasoned Contracts Specialist to manage government contracts within a fast-paced integrated construction team in Tysons, Virginia. You will handle proposals, negotiations, administration, and close-out, ensuring compliance and strong customer satisfaction.

The role requires deep knowledge of US Federal Government contracting, experience with FAR, and the ability to advise on complex contract terms while supporting leadership across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 8+ years of experience or 6+ with a Master's degree.
• 8+ years of experience in federal government construction contract negotiation/management/administration.
• Thorough understanding of FAR, agency regs, and Cost Accounting Standards.
• Experience in preparing cost and technical/business management proposals.
• Experience with all forms of government solicitations and contracting vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract management for the division with Business Unit and Law Department.
• Develop, negotiate, administer, and close out government contracts and task orders.
• Proactively manage risk and ensure compliance with FAR and agency supplements.
• Provide training on contract terms and compliance to staff.
• Interface with Government Contracting Officers on financial management issues.
• Support contract and financial tracking/reporting for deliverables and responses.
• Collaborate with project teams to fulfill contract requirements.
