Everforth Apex Systems, a global technology and digital engineering firm, is seeking a Government Contracts Counsel to join our Legal Department in a hybrid role based in Richmond, VA. This role supports our federal line of business, handling prime contracts, subcontracts, and government-wide contract vehicles with a team-oriented approach and a focus on detail and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., Virginia bar eligibility, and at least 2+ years of federal government contracting

Formación

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to a state bar; Virginia corporate counsel eligibility if not licensed in VA
• 2+ years of relevant legal experience, including federal government contracting
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and agency supplements; contract flow-down obligations
• Experience drafting and negotiating federal prime contracts, subcontracts, and task orders; IT/professional services experience preferred
• Familiarity with GSA schedules or other government-wide contract vehicles preferred
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity and information-safeguarding requirements (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC) preferred

Responsabilidades

• Drafting, analyzing, revising, and negotiating master services agreements, prime contracts, subcontracts, and related documents
• Reviewing federal contract terms and flow-downs, including FAR/DFARS
• Advising internal clients on contract provisions and legal implications
• Supporting government-wide vehicles and schedules (GSA, GWACs, IDIQs) and related obligations
• Ensuring compliance with organizational conflicts of interest and subcontracting plans
• Assisting with bid protests, claims, audits, and contract closeout
• Communicating with senior management and sales on contract provisions
