Job summary

SGP Recruiting is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent in Virginia Beach, VA to oversee construction projects for a Class A General Contractor focused on government construction. The role involves liaising with government officials and managing subcontractor activities to meet compliance, safety, and quality standards.

The successful candidate will have at least five years of government contracting experience, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of federal construction practices. Competitive compensation of $90 – 100K annually, with benefits including medical, dental, and 401(K) plans.

Qualifications

• Five years of Government contracting experience required.
• Thorough understanding of Federal construction industry practices and standards.
• Experience in management and project development of Design-Build construction.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with Government Contracting Official/Owner and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and regulations.
• Prepare and submit daily logs and reports of construction activities.

Skills

Management of multimillion-dollar projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge of OSHA standards

Strong organizational and planning skills

Education
