Job summary

RJS Construction is seeking a Project Manager (Federal Construction) to lead assigned projects on job sites and in the office. You will act as the single point of contact, ensuring compliance with internal processes and delivering on time and within budget.

You will manage trades, prepare schedules, develop safety and QC plans, and oversee submittals, RFIs, changes, and communications. A BS in CM/CE and OSHA 30 are required, with USACE QC training preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years in the role.
• OSHA 30 certification and biannual First Aid Training.
• USACE 3-Phase Quality Control training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor project teams to achieve goals and deadlines.
• Listen to customers and proactively manage deliverables to exceed expectations.
• Understand trades at a granular level; craft and award subcontractor agreements within budget and schedule constraints.
• Prepare and update project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Develop site safety plans and QC plans for all assigned projects.
• Oversee meetings, submittals, RFIs, design changes, and formal communications.
• Utilize internal cost control systems to report financial status of each project.
• Administer prime contract modifications and document effects on subcontractors, contract sums, and schedules.
