Primary duties

Primary duties will include reviewing and establishing Military (UCX) and Federal (UCFE) claims and assisting the DUA (Disaster Unemployment Assistance) Coordinator in the Federal Programs Unit. Use federal guidance to issue monetary and non-monetary determinations for these programs in compliance with Federal regulations, MDES laws, and regulations. Establish combined wage claims monetarily and process Combined Wage Options. Identify, calculate, and write up overpayment information related to combined wage claims. Provide customer service to Intrastate claimants, Interstate claimants, and representatives from other state agencies. Take unemployment claims, identify eligibility issues, non-monetary investigations/adjudications, audit work search activity, provide customers with information on unemployment claims, online support, and perform other unemployment insurance eligibility-related duties. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends if needed. Some travel may be required. This is a Non-State, Part-Time (11) position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience.
• Hiring Agency Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year (4) college or university and two (2) years of experience directly related to the described job duties or similar review and investigative review and federal program processes.
• All potential applicants are required to have a valid driver's license and pass an extensive background check.
