Job summary

Garver’s Civil Engineer- Federal Projects in Wichita, Kansas will design federal project civil works including roads, trails, and site development. You will deliver drawings, specs, cost estimates, and technical reports while supporting construction observation and submittal reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 7+ years of civil design experience.
  • Detail-oriented and a team player with strong initiative to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Some travel may be required with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design for federal projects including roadways, trails, site development, grading, stormwater management, utilities, pavements, and master planning.
  • Produce full design phase deliverables: drawings, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and narratives.
  • Perform onsite construction observation duties, construction administration, and submittal reviews for ongoing projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related civil design software to develop and refine designs.
