Job summary

Garver’s Overland Park office is seeking a Civil Engineer for Federal Projects to lead design on air force, navy and other federal programs. You will develop drawings, specs, cost estimates, and technical reports, with on-site observation and submittal reviews as needed.

The role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, and 7+ years of civil design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office is essential; some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 7+ years of civil design experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong self-initiative to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Produce full design phase deliverables including drawings, specs, cost estimates, reports.
• Perform onsite construction observation and construction administration.
• Review submittals for projects under construction.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D for civil design tasks.
