Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is hiring a Business Analyst II to support a large enterprise in a complex federal contracting environment. You will gather and analyze requirements, document BRDs, and partner with project managers and technical teams to translate business needs into effective solutions.

You will assist in risk assessments, test planning, and training material creation while staying current with industry trends and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst with 3+ years in federal contracting or enterprise settings.
• Familiarity with BA methodologies and requirement gathering.
• Understanding of DOD acquisition lifecycle and milestone requirements.
• Experience with data analysis, modeling, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, analyzes, and documents business requirements across complex environments.
• Maps business processes to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Creates BRD and functional specifications for initiatives.
• Collaborates with PMs and technical teams to align needs and solutions.
• Supports test plans to verify functionality and performance.
• Prepares project status reports, risk assessments, and impact analyses.
• Contributes to training materials and user documentation.
• Keeps up with industry trends to propose enhancements.
• Ensures compliance with federal regulations throughout the lifecycle.
