Constellation is seeking a Federal Business Analyst to join our Homeland Security team in Washington, DC, to evaluate the processes, people, and technology supporting our clients’ operations.

In this role you will assist US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by supporting a nationwide program and developing solutions to enhance existing processes, create efficiencies, and develop new solutions to further advance program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or communications.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business analysis and experience working with federal government clients.
• Strong writing and editing skills; proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Understanding of how SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate can be leveraged to develop solutions.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with client management and subject matter experts to learn processes and identify solutions.
• Communicate effectively with program managers, developers, executives and stakeholders nationwide.
• Perform business process reengineering by analyzing current state, designing new solutions, and implementing them.
• Generate ad-hoc reports for senior leadership and summarize program status.
• Draft reports, communication packages, and briefings for executive leadership.
• Provide training, guidance, and best practices to staff around the nation.
• Analyze existing systems and processes to recommend integrating disparate systems into a unified solution.
• Leverage Microsoft Office tools to enhance decision making and enable self-service analysis.
• Translate highly technical concepts to general end-users.

• LeveragingMicrosoft Office tools to enhance decision making and make it easy for staff to perform their own analysis.
• Translatinghighly technical concepts and processes to general end-users.

The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or communications.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business analysis and experience working with federal government clients.
• Strong writing and editing skills; proficiency in advanced functions of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Understanding of how Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate can be leveraged to develop solutions. Advanced knowledge preferred.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
