U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) in full-time, entry- and mid-level positions across the United States.

BPAs protect the country and enforce immigration and customs laws while benefiting from the federal employment package. The announcement details recruitment incentives up to $20,000 plus up to $30,000 in additional incentives over three years, with base pay at GL levels ranging from $51,632 to $124,717 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night-operations tools.
• Interpreting tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry.
• Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, and city patrols.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various government assets.

Formation

Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
