Job summary

Elevance Health seeks a Manager of Financial Accounting/Reporting/Analysis to lead accounting teams supporting Federal Government Solutions. You will oversee month-end close, revenue recognition, tax calculations, and internal controls in a hybrid, in-office role with some remote flexibility.

The position requires a BA/BS in Accounting or related field with 8+ years in senior financial management, ideally within insurance, and preference for CPA/CFM/CMA and MBA qualifications.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business and 8+ years progressively more responsible experience in a Controller or senior financial management position with a medium to large insurance company.
• GAAP, FAR, and CAS knowledge for federal contracting is essential.
• Experience leading accounting teams, driving process improvements and coordinating internal/external audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition by contract.
• Oversee sales and use tax calculations and submissions.
• Manage aged receivables and variance explanations for billed and unbilled accounts.
• Coordinate year-end processing in Costpoint.
