Role And Responsibilities

As an AE, you are the tip of the spear for the entire sales process and will effectively be building a “business within a business”.

  • Meeting with Clients: Discuss “business” requirements, challenges, and objectives with your customers, uncovering sales opportunities for engineering services and technical solutions.
  • Structuring Deals: Work with your Sales Engineer(s) and Solutions Architect(s) to position deals to win, including driving funding, contracting, engaging stakeholders, and collaborating with OEMs and external partners.
  • Market Research and Prospecting: Manage current accounts and prospect new opportunities through research and outreach.
  • Networking: Develop relationships within industry partnerships, OEMs, consultants, and VARs, building your brand in the community.
  • Continual Education: Invest in ongoing sales, industry, and OEM-specific training to enhance your value.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain and update your sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with engineering, project management, and post-sales teams.
What You Bring To The Table
  • High school diploma / GED
  • 3+ years of recent Federal Market sales experience or recent technical experience with the Federal Government (DoD, Intelligence, or Civilian).
  • Excellent solution/consultative selling capability
  • Proven sales and account development success
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working with diverse staff levels
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Technical information absorption ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training
