Overview

TISTA is seeking a creative and talented Health Capture Manager to join our high-performing growth team. This individual will be responsible for securing existing and winning new business opportunities in the health market, specifically Veterans Affairs and occasionally HHS. The successful candidate possesses technical education and related professional experience, resourcefulness, and motivation to join a cohesive, winning team. The position will report to the Vice President of Enterprise Capture & Growth.

Responsibilities
  • Leads capture efforts to secure new, strategic contracts
  • Supports the development of a healthy, diverse, and sustainable sales pipeline of opportunities
  • Improves capture win rate through continuous improvement of capture best practices
  • Creates and presents deal review presentations intended for corporate capture gate approvals
  • Collaborates closely with other members of the corporate functional areas, including Executive, Operations, Technology, Proposals, Contracts, and Pricing teams
  • Collaborates with solution, business development, and business unit leads on strategic opportunities; analyze customer requirements, competitors, and internal capabilities
  • Applies knowledge of proven best practices in sales and capture management processes
  • Helps develop and negotiate winning teaming arrangements with potential partners, including work share allocation and marketing arrangements
  • Participates in color team proposal reviews
  • Provides accurate and timely data for weekly opportunity reviews and capture plan updates
  • Forecasts opportunity targets, tracks, and records activity on accounts to close deals
  • Performs market, competitor, and price-to-win analysis and strategies
  • Ensures the development of solutions that offer competitive distinction and map to the needs of the client
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working in Capture or growth roles
  • 5+ years in the federal contracting space
  • Proven experience successfully leading capture and winning at least two Federal Government contracts over $10M each
  • Must have knowledge of current Health Information Technology innovations such as AI/ML, Data Interoperability, Big Data, and Blockchain
  • Understanding of frameworks like the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), IT Operations and Management, and Agile SAFe methodologies
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and familiarity with Veterans Affairs
  • Additional experience with HHS is beneficial
  • Relationships with government agency contacts
  • Aptitude for results-focused, milestone-based capture management process
  • Diplomatic, persuasive, and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers/partners
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and is versed at leading a disparate group to a common goal
  • Ability to develop engaging and compelling presentations
  • Self-motivation and flexibility to work on multiple competing priorities
  • Positive and proactive can-do attitude and approach
  • Must be a team player that proactively engages in a positive manner in all phases of the business development life cycle
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Documented track record of winning new business both as a prime and subcontractor
  • Sales CRM experience

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in business management or related field

Work location:

  • Remote, with the ability to attend in-person meetings at TISTA’s HQ Rockville, MD, or Tysons Corner, Virginia, and clients across the country

Location:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000, however, the actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
  • This position is eligible for our variable incentive based on specific deals
