Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is an industry leader developing production FEA solutions within Simcenter Optistruct. The role focuses on advancing contact mechanics for implicit analyses and improving robustness and usability.

You will join an experienced team of computational mechanics developers, reporting to the Simcenter Optistruct development manager, with collaboration across QA, Documentation, and Product Management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in applied/computational mechanics or related engineering field.
• Proven hands-on experience with large-deformation contact mechanics in implicit FEA.
• Experience designing algorithms and data structures for computational contact mechanics.
• Proficiency in Fortran/C/C++ for software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy finite element capabilities for Simcenter Optistruct.
• Translate customer requirements into PDE/ODE formulations and data structures.
• Collaborate with QA, Support and Documentation to verify implementations and write examples.
