Job summary

BorgWarner in Auburn Hills is seeking a System Engineering Intern (Year-Round) to join the PowerDrive Systems Engineering team and gain hands-on experience across requirements development, architecture, design, integration and validation.

You will work with experienced engineers to apply engineering fundamentals on real-world products while building a foundation in systems engineering and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Coursework in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering.
• Basic structured analysis and problem solving preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of systems work products such as requirements, architecture and designs
• Support in technical analysis, trade off studies, FMEAs, and design reviews
• Support the definition and continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, methods, and tools
• Perform system integration and testing activities
• Document and share best-practices
