Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Finite Element Analyst to perform static, dynamic, and thermal-mechanical analyses on sensing technologies. You will build FEA models, validate them against tests, and provide critical design inputs to ensure performance and reliability across products.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field with strong fundamentals.
• MS or higher preferred in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace or related field.
• Experience with FEA tools (Abaqus, ANSYS, COMSOL) and non-linear solid mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Create finite element/analytical models of sensor architecture.
• Perform static, dynamic and thermal-mechanical analyses with non-linearities.
• Link inputs to outputs via parametric/sensitivity studies.
• Validate models with hand calculations and experiments as applicable.
• Drive failure analysis and design mitigations based on results.
• Communicate findings with cross-functional teams and produce quality reports.
