Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support modeling and simulation engineers in finite element analysis. You will use various simulation tools to assess the performance of Oshkosh products and contribute to vehicle and system development.

This summer internship offers hands-on experience with ANSA, META, Optistruct, Abaqus, and other tools, with opportunities to analyze results, validate models, and produce technical reports.

Qualifications

• Student working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
• Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the summer 2026 internship. Summer housing is available to interns whose permanent address is greater than 50 miles from their work location
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Learn and use modeling and simulation tools (ANSA/META) and solvers (Optistruct/Abaqus) for vehicle and system design
• Perform model validation and correlation using available data
• Analyze results and prepare technical reports with actionable conclusions
• Develop and use custom software to process, analyze, and automate simulations
