Job summary

Windsor Windows & Doors, a division of Woodgrain, is seeking a Forklift Operator in Leesburg, GA. Reporting to the Finished Elegance Supervisor, you will move, stack, and count material and work to maintain safety, quality, and productivity in the facility.

You will operate the forklift alone or in a team, adhere to company policies, and participate in inventory transactions using a handheld device. Applicants should have 2+ years of forklift experience and be able to work in a hot, humid, noisy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) or more years of forklift operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• The ability to successfully use a computer without assistance to complete assigned tasks.
• The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks.
• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobs.
• Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
• High level attention to detail.

• Transport extended length material safely with forklift.

• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all materials
• Assist with other production functions as needed.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Finished Elegance Supervisor, The Finished Elegance Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating the lift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count material. The forklift operator must be able to function alone as well as within a team. Work effectively with management, operators and others to enhance the safety, quality and productivity in the facility. They should also be able to work within the guidelines, policies and mission of the FE department as well as the Warehouse.

Physical Demands

This position occasionally requires long hours and occasional weekend work. The employee is expected to be able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required.
