Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Project Engineer for a major FDOT roadway project in the Naples area. This hands-on role offers mentorship, a strong project backlog, and clear room to advance from engineer to Senior PE.

You will manage RFIs, submittals, and field coordination to keep the project on schedule. Requirements include 2+ years in heavy civil/FDOT roadway work, a civil engineering or construction management degree (or equivalent), and experience reading plans and specs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of project or field engineering in heavy civil / FDOT roadway construction.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent field experience.
  • Ability to read civil construction plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage RFIs and submittals — coordinate between designers, owner, and subcontractors.
  • Support the Superintendent in the field on material tracking, scheduling, and daily sequencing.
  • Help track quantities, pay estimates, and project costs.
  • Review plans and specs to catch conflicts and constructability issues.
  • Keep documentation and records aligned to FDOT standards.
  • Support scheduling, look-ahead planning, and change-order documentation.
