Job summary

InfiniSource Consulting Solutions (ICS) currently seeks a Laboratory Assistant to support Lab Tech in glassware, media, and bulk solution preparation. You will perform media preparation, decontamination, MPW handling, and waste management in a regulated lab environment.

Responsibilities include autoclaving MPW per SOPs, maintaining waste documentation, and ensuring proper storage and packaging. The role requires a high school diploma and lab experience, with background checks and US citizenship

Qualifications

Must have H.S. Degree with science lab experience.
Background investigation favorable for PIV card is preferred.
US Citizenship is required for most positions.

Responsibilities

Media preparation for lab work, including batch preparation of media and reagents.
Glassware decontamination and cleaning following regulatory standards.
Material management and dissemination of glassware and supplies in the lab.
Maintain MPW (medical/pathological waste) handling procedures and disposal.
Collect MPW from labs, transport to autoclave areas, and document waste streams.
Prepare and deliver standard and customized media from dehydrated culture media and chemical solutions.
Schedule preventative maintenance for media prep equipment (e.g., media jet and clave).
Maintain clean storerooms and comply with Good Laboratory Practices.
