Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Building Engineer for the Greater Pennsylvania Region. Based in Johnstown with statewide travel, this role supports FDA-regulated facilities and complex building systems.

You will lead maintenance planning, supervise regulatory compliance, and coordinate with vendors, ensuring safe, reliable operations and documented safety procedures. The position offers competitive benefits and opportunities to contribute to life-saving missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade school certification.
• Current Universal Refrigerant license, OSHA 10 and HVAC certification.
• ASHE membership or ability to obtain and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Act as onsite building engineering SME, advising on building systems and maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and related machinery.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards across facilities.
• Oversee work-order system and coordinate maintenance and emergency responses.
• Maintain logs and coordinate bio-waste, supplies and inspections.
