Job summary

DHL Express in Kentucky is hiring a Customs Entry Agent to ensure compliance with federal regulations for imported goods. You will process entries, classify shipments, and communicate with suppliers to manage release of freight.

Responsibilities include reviewing documents, computing tariffs, and using online portals for FDA and US Customs submissions. A High School Diploma is required, with a preference for 1 year in transportation or customs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in transportation or customs preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning and directing flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations.
• Classifies import/export shipments for government compliance.
• Processes requests for extensions, expiration, cancellation and government entries.
• Communicates with origin and destination regarding shipment status.
• Examines invoices and documents to determine Harmonized Tariff Code.
• Uses online portals for FDA and US Customs submission.
