Full Circle Youth Empowerment, Inc. seeks a Receptionist to be the first contact for youth, families, staff, management, community partners, and visitors.

You will manage the front desk, answer calls, greet guests, sign-in/sign-out, and support administrative operations in a youth-serving environment. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in an office/reception role and strong communication and computer skills.

FCYE- RECEPTIONIST
POSITION SUMMARY

Full Circle Youth Empowerment Inc. is seeking a professional, organized, dependable, and welcoming Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for youth, families, staff, management, community partners, and visitors. The Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk, answering and directing telephone calls, greeting visitors, maintaining visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures, supporting administrative operations, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires strong communication, organizational, computer, and customer-service skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries when working in a youth-serving environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment serving youth and families.

RESPONSIBILITES AND SKILLS

Answer incoming telephone calls and direct calls or messages appropriately. Greet youth, families, staff, visitors, and community partners in a professional and courteous manner. Manage the reception/front-desk area and help maintain a welcoming and organized environment. Ensure guests and visitors properly sign in and sign out according to organizational procedures. Maintain accurate visitor, attendance, administrative, and other required records. Provide general administrative and clerical support to management and staff. Maintain accurate invoices, billing, and related financial documentation. Perform data entry, filing, scanning, copying, document preparation, and other clerical duties. Assist with spreadsheets, databases, reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents. Assist with scheduling, meetings, events, and program-related administrative activities. Communicate professionally and respectfully with management, staff, youth, families, and visitors. Maintain appropriate boundaries, etiquette, and confidentiality at all times. Handle sensitive youth, family, financial, personnel, and organizational information appropriately. Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, databases, email, and other technology required for the position. Collect receipts and co-pays and fees for clients and daycare. Maintain inventory supplies for all offices. Complete other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2–3 years of experience in an office, reception, or administrative environment.
  • Experience working in a youth center, nonprofit, school, community-based organization, or similar environment serving children and families is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer and technology skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, including invoice and billing information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with youth, families, staff, management, and visitors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Professional, dependable, positive, and service-oriented attitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual English/Spanish ability preferred.
  • Experience working with underserved children, youth, and families.
  • Experience working for a nonprofit or community-based organization.
  • Experience with spreadsheets, databases, reporting, and data entry.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, programs, or activities.
  • Familiarity with administrative or project-management systems.
  • Experience with program databases such as ProCare or similar systems.
  • Experience maintaining attendance, billing, financial, or program records.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Stand and move throughout the facility as needed.
  • Answer telephones and communicate effectively in person and electronically.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
  • Occasionally lift or move office materials and supplies.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

The Receptionist will have access to sensitive information involving youth, families, employees, finances, programs, and organizational operations. The employee is expected to maintain strict confidentiality, follow all organizational policies and procedures, and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries when interacting with youth and other members of the community.

COMPENSATION/ JOB INFORMATION

Salary Information: $40,500.00 per annum plus benefits.

This is a Full-time, on-site (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and organizational events. Travel to program sites, community events, training, and partner organizations is expected
