Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Program Specialist in the Family & Consumer Sciences Education program. This full-time regular position focuses on administration and supervision of FCS Education programs, leadership, instructional strategy development, and serving as a resource for teachers and administrators to assure quality and improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), teaching certification (preferably FCS), and at least three years of teaching or administrative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Teaching certification – preference Family and Consumer Sciences.
• Three years of teaching or administrative experience or equivalent industry experience.
• Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service support for the FCS Education experiences for the assigned region.
• Provide technical support, consultation, and individualized assistance and support for FCS instructors, coordinators, and administrators.
• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing programs to meet career and technology education needs.
• Conduct program evaluations to ensure quality and assist with program improvement.
• Plan and implement high impact professional development training and technical assistance for teachers and staff.
