Job summary

800 OKLA. CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION is seeking a Program Specialist to oversee Family & Consumer Sciences Education programs.

The role provides leadership, develops instructional strategies, and serves as a resource for teachers and administrators to assure program quality and improvement. Responsibilities include supporting regional FCS experiences, offering technical assistance to instructors, and guiding program planning aligned with state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in related field.
• Teaching certification - preference Family and Consumer Sciences.
• Three years of teaching or administrative experience or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service support for the FCS Education experiences for the assigned region.
• Provide technical support, consultation, and individualized assistance for FCS instructors, coordinators, and administrators.
• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing programs to meet career and technology education needs as requested by local education agencies.
• Conduct program evaluations to ensure quality and assist with program improvement.
• Encourage innovative approaches for instruction and delivery.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in related field

Teaching certification

Three years of teaching or administrative experience

Master's degree (preferred)
