Job summary

Cart.com is seeking a Forklift Driver, Fulfillment in Florence, NJ, to safely move cases within our distribution center using powered equipment. You’ll track movement with RF scanners and support operational flow on a 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

We value reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Prior forklift certification is a plus; overtime may be required to meet peak needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of forklift operation experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Demonstrated safety compliance and incident reporting.

Onsite:

This position is open to applicants or individuals who are located in or around Florence NJ and able to work 1st shift scheduled 8-5:30pm with flexibility for longer hours based off of business and peak needs.

The Role:

A Forklift Driver, Fulfillment is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of cases within the Distribution facility using powered industrial equipment. This includes both physical handling and electronic tracking of inventory, while maintaining safety and productivity standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., ride-behind jack, sit-down reach truck, high-reach truck).
• Move cases physically and electronically throughout the facility.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and case movement.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and timely incident reporting.
• Meet productivity and accuracy goals consistently.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Assist in other departments as needed to support operational flow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• A self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and RF scanning technology.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and safety.
• Reliable and adaptable to changing work environments.

What You’ve Done:

• 1+ year of experience operating forklifts (e.g., turret truck, cherry picker).
• Demonstrated ability to meet productivity and accuracy goals in a warehouse or fulfillment setting.
• Proven track record of following safety procedures and reporting incidents appropriately.

Nice to Haves:

• Current or previous forklift certification.
• Experience working in a high-volume fulfillment or distribution center.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Periodic exposure to heavy machinery and changing environmental conditions.
