Summit Electric Supply in Irving, TX invites you to join a Development Program designed to launch your career in logistics, sales, or operations. You’ll learn about Summit, the industry, and our customers through a structured 12–14 month program across multiple functions.

You’ll start hands-on training in logistics and warehousing, then move to the sales counter to deepen product knowledge and customer service, with rotations through quotes, projects, and operations.

Qualifications

• Product knowledge about Summit's range of products
• Strong customer service and relationship skills
• Understanding of inventory control processes and counting
• Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations
• Familiarity with Summit’s computer systems and order tracking

Responsibilities

• Learn about the wide range of products Summit distributes
• Understand product specifications, applications, and benefits
• Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and recommend appropriate products
• Develop strong customer relationships and handle issues effectively
• Support the sales team by preparing quotes, processing orders, and following up on leads
• Participate in sales calls and customer meetings as needed
• Learn inventory control and conduct counts
• Gain understanding of warehouse operations and logistics
• Develop proficiency in Summit’s computer systems and tracking tools
• Work with multiple departments to ensure efficient operations and customer service
