Affordable Home Furnishings in Lake Charles invites you to join our Fast Track Store Manager program. This Manager-in-Training role is designed for individuals with retail, sales, or rent-to-own experience who want to grow into a Store Manager.

You’ll learn every part of the business, from sales and collections to inventory, deliveries, and daily operations, while working directly with experienced managers. Relocation may be required for fastest advancement to one of our area stores.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Sales experience required.
• Collections or account management experience preferred.
• Rent-to-own experience is a major plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (Class D chauffeur's required).
• Heavy lifting: loading, unloading - moving furniture and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Extensive contact with customers by phone and field visits.
• Learn and perform all aspects of store operations.
• Handle all sales, collections and service on a route while learning our system.
• Lead by example in sales and customer service.
• Help manage customer accounts and collections.
• Train and motivate team members.
• Set up and maintain showroom displays.
• Put together new merchandise.
• Clean and refurbish previously rented merchandise.
• Monitor inventory and merchandise flow.
• Assist with deliveries, pickups, and warehouse operations when needed.
• Work toward managing your own store location.
• Any other tasks assigned by management.
