Job summary

Brakes Plus is looking for ambitious leaders for its Fast Track Management Program located in Ankeny, Iowa. The program prepares individuals to manage a store efficiently while developing leadership skills. Successful candidates can advance to Regional Manager within 3-12 months.

Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 2 years of automotive management experience and strong communication skills. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $50,000 to $100,000 annually, along with additional benefits including a 401(k) plan and paid time off.

• Basic understanding of utilizing store technology (POS, email, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license.

Job Description

As part of this program, you will learn the “In’s & Out’s” of the BP business, become well‑versed in operating a financially sound and high‑performing location, build a highly motivated team, and develop an environment where your service team can thrive. You will work closely with the Sales Team on the lobby floor and the Service Team in the shop to improve performance and execute store processes. Those who perform and exceed expectations typically receive Store Management opportunities within 3-12 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in automotive or 4 years of management experience
• Basic understanding of utilizing store technology (POS, email, etc.)
• Experience with payroll management, expense analysis, and inventory control
• Experienced technician or bay manager
• Demonstrated success in employee retention and conflict resolution
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and adaptability skills
• Ability to review and analyze a P&L statement
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members
• Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws
• Valid driver’s license
