Job summary

SkillStorm is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers who will transition from solid software developers into AI-enabled engineers. You will undergo six weeks of paid AI training, then deploy to federal and Fortune 100 clients, delivering real impact from day one.

Earn $95,000–$120,000 in your first year with full benefits, while you build a career toward $170K+ as you gain certifications and deployments. U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/Node.js
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret security clearance
• Multiple locations available
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing work
• W2 employment through SkillStorm; not a C2C opportunity

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI-enabled software solutions for clients
• Own delivery end-to-end from problem framing to deployment
• Collaborate with client engineers and stakeholders in their environment
• Translate business needs into scoped specifications and architecture
• Apply dev tooling to accelerate delivery and build AI capabilities
• Set coding standards and contribute to reference implementations
• Provide progress updates and documentation to clients
