Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp, a leader in the snack foods industry, is seeking a packer to prepare products for final packaging and palletizing. The role involves packing into trays, inspecting for quality, and coding boxes for shipping mientras maintaining high standards of food safety and efficiency.

The position emphasizes fast-paced production, reliability, and adherence to GMPs, with ongoing training in Food Defense, Allergen, and SQF programs as part of a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Math and reading skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Pick up product according to product tray size at a rate of seven to eighteen trays per minute, depending on variety.
• Inspect product for quality before placing in trays and onto conveyors.
• Inspect product for specific flaws as set forth by the Quality Manager and set aside for rework or discard.
• Report any major discrepancies with product to the lead, supervisor, or Quality Manager.
• Adhere to all environmental, health and safety requirements and procedures.
• Responsible for food safety and quality.
• Other tasks as assigned.
