Job summary

Baekjeong Irvine is hiring a Food Prep team member to support daily kitchen operations. You will set up workstations, wash and prep ingredients, and assist Line Cooks to ensure timely dish preparation in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of high-paced kitchen experience, knowledge of knife care, and familiarity with food ingredients. This role entails maintaining sanitation, labeling ingredients, and adhering to health guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a high-paced kitchen environment preferred.
• Must know how to clean, sharpen, and maintain kitchen knives.
• Knowledge of food ingredients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and sweeping/mopping floors.
• Label and stock ingredients on shelves for easy access.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables.
• Set up sanitizer buckets and ensure station readiness.
• Temperatures checked for walk-in coolers and sanitary surfaces are disinfected.
