Job summary

Ruby Tuesday in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an Expo/Food Prep team member to ensure timely dish preparation and accurate guest requests. You will communicate with service and kitchen teams to expedite TueGo/Catering and dining room orders.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with friendly guest service, strong time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to follow proper food handling and serving techniques and regulations.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
• Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Utilise the Kitchen Display System to maintain service flow, control cost/waste, and prepare items to spec and accommodate guest modifications.
• Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food items; confirms hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
• Organize the table orders in the expo area according to the tickets.
• Complete specific side work and station maintenance.
• Responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and organization of the work area before, during, and after every shift.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Expedite the service of food for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
• Support the service team in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.
• Other duties as assigned
