Job summary

Openwork Health seeks an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our California-based team. In this full-time role, you will deliver rapid, high-quality care in a dynamic emergency department and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include triage, medication administration, monitoring, documentation in the EHR, and patient/family education. BLS/ACLS required; PALS a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• Recent ER or acute care experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid and accurate triage of incoming emergency patients.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain a safe and organized emergency room environment.
• Adhere to hospital policies and credentialing requirements.
