Compass Group USA is seeking a skilled Cook for a fast-paced grab-and-go kitchen environment, preparing a variety of meals and ensuring high quality while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have passion for cooking, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work swiftly in a busy setting. Responsibilities include portion control, temperature checks, and HACCP compliance. This position is part-time and on-site with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and other kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
• Ability to work as a team.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Greets, directs and responds to guest questions and needs in a timely manner.
• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
• Serves meals by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
