Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets customers and provides visible, friendly service.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders including cash, checks, credit, and debit.
• Adhere to company policy on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items and promotions.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads, promotions, and seasonal changes.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer customer product questions.
• Comply with all laws and company guidelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally, protecting customer and business information.
• Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
