Job summary

Ascension Coffee is seeking a dedicated Line Cook for Fort Worth, TX to join a high-volume kitchen. You will prepare menu items, set up stations, stock and restock, and ensure adherence to recipes and ticket times.

The role requires 8-hour shifts, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A Food Handler’s certificate is required or you must be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high-volume or fast casual restaurant.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing menu items (under 8 minute ticket times).
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts or longer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to company specifications (build sheets & recipes).
• Set-up and stock stations prior to service.
• Re-stock station before completing shift, and prep for subsequent shift.
• Adhere to Kitchen Manager and General Manager’s instructions.
• Maintain a sanitary work area.
• Ensure that food comes out to spec consistently and under an 8 minute ticket time.
