Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring a Stocking Clerk to support store operations and customer service. You will stock shelves, move products to correct locations, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

This entry-level role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and safe handling of products. You will assist leadership to ensure shelves are ready for customers and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Comfort with learning and using basic technology.
• Follow processes and procedures in an organized way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy teamwork and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of grocery products.
• Move products from pallets/carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard in back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to complete areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
